The American Dream
This website has been made to discuss the ideas of just what the American Dream Is. Through out history everyone one who has lived or has come to America has had this idea of an American Dream. Many people are very unsure of just what the American Dream is. Each person has their own individual idea of what the American Dream is, and this web site is here to give just a bit of incite on the American Dream. Dictionary.com defines the American Dream as:
1.The ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally held to be available to every American.
2.A life of personal happiness and material comfort as traditionally sought by individuals in the U.S.
Both of these definitions apply to the American Dream in my opinion, but is there any truth to these dreams? many people believe that the American Dream is something that is to good to be true. Is it?
